Anubias is one of the toughest, most forgiving plants in the hobby. These slow-growing rhizome plants handle low light, tolerate a wide range of water conditions, and have leaves sturdy enough that even cichlids and goldfish usually leave them alone.

Easy to Grow, Hard to Kill

Anubias does not need CO2 or strong lighting. The one rule to remember is never bury the rhizome, the thick horizontal stem the leaves grow from. Instead, attach it to driftwood or rock with thread or glue and let the roots take hold.
