Albino Tiger Barb - Ghostly Pale Tones Over the Classic Tiger Stripe

The Albino Tiger Barb takes the classic tiger-stripe pattern and washes it in pale, near-translucent tones, giving the fish a striking ghost-like appearance while still showing the bold banding this species is known for. It is every bit as fast and active as the standard colour form.

Because it lacks dark body pigment, this variety looks especially eye-catching against darker substrates and planting, and its pink eyes add to the distinctive albino look. Like all tiger barbs it is a boisterous, fin-nipping species that needs a decent-sized group of its own kind to keep its energy in check.

As notorious fin-nippers, tiger barbs must be kept in a large group of their own kind and paired only with robust, fast-moving fish that lack long, trailing fins.
