Being locally bred and raised, this line is well acclimatised to Central Queensland conditions from the outset, and shares the same gentle, unhurried swimming style typical of the fancy goldfish group. It's a hardy option for keepers who want to support locally raised stock.

Compatibility

This rounder-bodied fancy goldfish is a slower, more deliberate swimmer than single-tail comets and does best alongside other fancy varieties that share its gentler pace and won't out-compete it at feeding time.

Suitable tankmates include:

• Other fantail, ryukin or moor goldfish
• Other similarly slow-swimming fancy varieties
• Peaceful, cold-tolerant snails
• Avoid fast single-tail comets, which will out-compete them for food
