Beyond the striking finnage, this molly retains the robust, adaptable nature of the species, growing to a solid 8–10 cm and doing best in harder, alkaline water typical of molly care.

Mollies are peaceful, sociable fish that do well in a well-chosen community aquarium, though very small nano fish are best avoided.
