Black Neon Tetra - Bold Black Banding With an Iridescent Highlight

The Black Neon Tetra trades the classic neon's red and blue for a bold black horizontal stripe topped with a fine iridescent green-white line, giving it a moodier, more striking look in the aquarium.

This species schools just as tightly as its more famous cousin, and its darker colouration provides a nice visual contrast when mixed with brighter tetras in a larger planted community tank.

Suitable tankmates include:

• Other tetra and rasbora species
• Corydoras catfish
