Blue Emperor Tetra - Regal Blue-Purple Tones for the Serious Aquarist

The Blue Emperor Tetra carries itself with a deep blue-purple body running the length of a bold black stripe, giving it a richer, more regal look than many of its tetra relatives. It's a slightly more deliberate swimmer, gliding through mid-water rather than darting.

Its calm, unhurried temperament makes it an excellent centrepiece species for a peaceful planted community, particularly once it reaches a bit of size and its deep colouration really develops. It's an easy keeper on typical Australian water parameters and mixes well with other similarly relaxed community fish.
