Congo Tetra - A Big, Iridescent Showpiece Tetra for Larger Tanks
The Congo Tetra is a true giant of the tetra world, growing noticeably larger than the other tetras in our range and carrying an iridescent, rainbow-hued body that shifts through blues, golds and greens depending on the angle of light. Flowing, elongated fins — especially in mature males — add real drama to a school in motion.
Because of its larger adult size, this species needs more swimming room and a bigger tank footprint than the smaller tetras, but its temperament remains thoroughly peaceful and easy-going. A shoal of Congo Tetras makes a genuine centrepiece display in a larger, well-established community aquarium, and their gentle nature means they mix calmly with other similarly-sized peaceful fish.
At N8 Aquatics, our fish are carefully raised and conditioned to ensure healthy stock suited to home aquariums.
