Cryptocoryne Undulatus 'Red' — Wavy-Leafed Colour for the Midground

Cryptocoryne Undulatus 'Red' brings genuine colour into a low-tech tank without needing CO2 or intense lighting. Its narrow, wavy-edged leaves emerge reddish-bronze and deepen in tone as the plant matures, giving a striking contrast against green carpeting plants and driftwood.

Ideal Habitat and Care

Like other Cryptocoryne species, Undulatus Red can experience "crypt melt" when first transplanted — this is a normal stress response and new growth will return true to colour within a few weeks. Root tabs or a nutrient-rich substrate will help bring out deeper red tones.

Propagation & Trimming

Spreads slowly via runners from the rhizome. Separate new plantlets once they've formed their own roots.
