Its broad, slightly wavy green leaves hold their colour under a wide range of lighting and water conditions, and it spreads steadily over time to form a lush foreground-to-midground patch.

Ideal Habitat and Care

Wendtii Tropica is one of the most forgiving plants you can keep, thriving in low-tech tanks without CO2 or heavy fertilising. Like most Cryptocoryne species it can experience "crypt melt" after being moved or transplanted into a new tank — this is normal and the plant will bounce back stronger within a few weeks as it adjusts to your water.

Propagation & Trimming

Once settled, this plant spreads via runners from its rhizome. New plantlets can be gently separated and replanted once they've developed their own root system.

Compatibility

Completely safe with all community fish, shrimp, and snails. A great choice for planted community tanks and shrimp tanks alike.
