The Dwarf Blue Neon Gourami is known for its iridescent neon-blue striping, which seems to glow under aquarium lighting and shifts subtly as the fish moves. This compact species brings a bright pop of colour to smaller planted tanks without needing a large footprint.

It shares the same gentle, unhurried temperament typical of dwarf gourami, making it a relaxing fish to watch as it glides between plants. Males can be territorial toward one another, so a single male per tank is the safest approach.
