The Female Bumble Bee Guppy is instantly recognisable for her bold black and yellow banded pattern, a striking contrast that stands out against green planting or dark substrate. Named for her wasp-like markings, she brings a splash of high-contrast colour to any community aquarium.

Like most female guppies, she is larger and more robust bodied than her male counterparts, with a calm and unhurried swimming style that makes her easy to observe. She settles quickly into new surroundings and rarely shows any aggression toward tankmates.
