The Green Swordtail carries the olive-green base colouration that defines the classic wild-type swordtail, the natural colour form this popular livebearer was first known for.

It's a robust, adaptable fish that handles a broad range of water conditions with ease, and as with other swordtails, males are best kept with two or three females.

Ideal Habitat and Care

Swordtails appreciate a longer, well-planted 80 L or larger aquarium with open swimming space; because males can spar over females, keep a ratio of one male to two or three females.
