The Longfin Tiger Barb keeps the classic bold tiger striping but pairs it with elegant, extended, flowing fins, giving this normally stocky fish a softer, more graceful silhouette as it moves through the water.

The extended finnage makes this variety a real standout in a larger shoal, catching the light and trailing behind the fish as it darts about. Underneath the fancier fins, though, it is still every bit a tiger barb, so it needs a large group of its own kind and no long-finned tankmates to keep its fin-nipping tendencies in check.
