Male Cambodian Assorted Betta - Pale Body, Vivid Contrasting Fins
The Male Cambodian Assorted Betta shows the classic Cambodian trait of a pale, flesh-toned body that contrasts sharply against vividly coloured fins, an effect that makes the fins appear to almost float independently of the body.
This colour pattern is one of the older, more traditional betta strains, and it pairs well with a range of fin types and colours across the assorted line-up. Temperament-wise it is a typical male betta — confident, territorial, and best appreciated on its own.
At N8 Aquatics, our fish are carefully raised and conditioned to ensure healthy stock suited to home aquariums.

- Adult Size: 6–7 cm

Ideal Habitat and Care
Keep the Cambodian Betta in a heated, filtered 20 L or larger aquarium with subdued lighting to make the contrast between body and fins really stand out.
- Temperature: 24–28°C
- pH: 6.5–7.5
- Water Flow: Low to gentle — bettas dislike strong currents
- Maintenance: Weekly partial water changes with stable, cycled filtration
Diet
Offer a protein-rich, varied diet to maintain this strain's distinctive colour contrast.
- High-quality betta pellets as a daily staple
- Frozen or live bloodworm for enrichment
- Frozen or live brine shrimp for extra protein
- Occasional variety to keep colours vibrant
Compatibility
Best kept alone, or with calm bottom dwellers and non-fin-nipping tankmates; avoid other bettas and gourami, which can trigger territorial aggression.
Suitable tankmates include:
- Calm bottom-dwelling species such as corydoras
- Peaceful, fast-moving nano fish that stay out of its territory
- Snails in a well-established, planted tank
- Avoid other male bettas and gourami
Avoid aggressive or fin-nipping species.
