Neon Blue Acara - Vibrant, Community-Friendly South American Cichlid

The Neon Blue Acara is a selectively-bred colour form prized for the electric-blue sheen that covers its entire body and fins, a dramatic upgrade on the more muted wild-type Acara. It's a solidly built, medium-sized cichlid that brings serious colour to a South American community tank.

While it will become semi-aggressive and territorial as it reaches adult size, the Neon Blue Acara is genuinely one of the more easygoing cichlids of its size, tolerating tankmates far better than most Central or African species. It's an intelligent, interactive fish that quickly learns to recognise its keeper.
