The Orange Nemo Plakat Betta gets its name from the blotchy orange-over-white marbled patterning that echoes the famous clownfish, with no two fish carrying quite the same pattern. Combined with a short-finned plakat build, it presents as a compact, energetic fish with striking visual contrast.

Because nemo patterning is a marbled genetic trait, this strain can continue to shift and develop new patches of colour as the fish matures, making it a fun and dynamic addition to watch over time. Like all plakat bettas it is hardy and easy to care for, needing only a modest heated tank of its own.

This species is an easy feeder that will happily accept a varied diet.

Compatibility

This species is best suited to a species-only setup or a carefully chosen community of calm, non-fin-nipping tankmates, and should never be housed with other bettas or gourami.

• Calm bottom-dwelling fish such as corydoras
• Peaceful, non-fin-nipping community species
