Penguin Tetra - A Distinctive Diagonal Marking and Quirky Swimming Style
The Penguin Tetra is easily picked out of a mixed tank by its bold diagonal black stripe running through the tail, paired with a naturally upward-tilted swimming posture that gives it a quirky, alert look compared to the flatter swimming style of most tetras.
It's an active, confident schooler that holds its position well in open water and rarely shies away when other fish are present. Hardy and adaptable, it copes comfortably with the water parameters found in most Australian community tanks, making it a low-maintenance addition with plenty of personality.
At N8 Aquatics, our fish are carefully raised and conditioned to ensure healthy stock suited to home aquariums.
