The Platinum Gourami is prized for its shimmering solid platinum-silver colouration, giving it a sleek, almost metallic appearance that stands out against darker aquarium backgrounds. It moves with the same slow, deliberate grace typical of standard gourami, its long ventral fins trailing as it explores the tank.

This is a hardy, easy-going fish well suited to established community aquariums. Males can be territorial toward one another, so it's best kept as a single male per tank, or in a spacious, well-planted setup offering visual breaks.
