Serpae Tetra - Bold Brick-Red Colour with Plenty of Attitude
The Serpae Tetra sports a deep brick-red body set off by a distinctive black patch just behind the gills, giving it one of the boldest, most saturated colours of any commonly kept tetra. It's a confident, outgoing fish that doesn't shy away from being noticed.
This species has a well-earned reputation for spirited behaviour, and keeping a larger group helps keep any nippy tendencies directed within the shoal rather than at tankmates. Hardy and undemanding on water chemistry, it rewards keepers who can offer it a robust community setup with plenty of colour and character.
At N8 Aquatics, our fish are carefully raised and conditioned to ensure healthy stock suited to home aquariums.
