The Silvertip Tetra carries a bright silver body finished with crisp white tips on its fins, giving it a clean, polished look that stands out nicely against darker substrates and planting. Its active, torpedo-like swimming style keeps it constantly on the move through the mid-water.

A genuinely tough and adaptable tetra, it copes well with the water conditions found in most Australian setups and shows its best colour and confidence when kept in a decent-sized group. As with other robust tetras, a full shoal helps settle any boisterous energy into normal schooling behaviour.
