The Three Stripe Corydoras Catfish is easily identified by three bold dark stripes running the length of its body, a striking pattern that sets it apart from other corydoras varieties in the aquarium trade. Like all corydoras, it is a small, armoured bottom-feeder that spends its time foraging along the substrate for leftover food.

This species does best kept in a lively group, where its natural schooling instinct comes through in synchronised feeding runs and resting huddles among decor. It is an undemanding, robust fish that adapts well to a variety of well-maintained community aquarium setups.
